My Philosophy:
I follow the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s (NACAC) Statement of Principles of Good Practice to ensure that the work I do with students and their families is accurate and ethical.
- The student and his or her best interests are my primary concern.
- I do not guarantee admissions or financial aid results.
- I communicate with students and their parents in a timely manner.
- The student/school relationship and a student’s work with their high school counselor is to be respected.
- A student’s college applications and essay are completed and written by the student.
- I respect the confidentiality and privacy of our college counseling meetings and contacts.
Above all, the student should be willing to listen to advice, meet timelines, and enter into the college admissions process with the idea that the best college is the one that best fits his or her personality, goals, and intellect.
